My response to the task set by Matt for the digital truth lecture.
I have been given the task to find 10 images to represent the town of Odessa in Texas, USA. Odessa is the 31st largest populated town in America. It was established in the 19th Century as a cattle stop and watering hold on the Texas and Pacific Railway line. It has since grown considerably and the population really mushroomed during the second World War due to the increase in demand for Oil production.
The picture above is a google street view image of a rehabilitation centre, which shows that even small , rich towns are affected by social problems.
The oil fields of Odessa.
This building is used as a food bank. People living in abject poverty and having to rely upon charitable handouts in order survive is sadly something that very much exists in the present day.
